The Annual TMEA Convention will be held in San Antonio at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center February 8th through the 11th
The 76th annual Midwest Convention will take place in Chicago December 19th through the 22nd.
The flute choir will be performing at St. Thomas’s “Breakfast with Santa” event. This event is not open to the public.
The Houston Flute Choir will be performing at the annual Old Town Spring “Home for the Holidays” event. This event is open to the public!
Celebrate the season with a festive mix of music and holiday cheer to benefit The Shepherd School of Music Scholarship Fund.

The Houston Flute Club is hosting an All-State masterclass with Dr. Brielle Frost
This event is open to all High School Juniors and Seniors who are interested in majoring in music or performing as a part of the Spirit of Houston Marching Band
The evening will begin at 4:30pm with a tour of the UH campus a Moores School of music. Students and guests are invited to join UH music faculty for dinner and a short presentation from the UH admissions counselor, music faculty and band staff.
Following dinner the Wind Ensemble will perform a concert in the Moores Opera House

Interested in majoring in music? SHSU School of Music is hosting a “music major for a day” event! Students will observe rehearsals and classes, have a lesson with the applied faculty, meet currents students, and learn about auditions, admissions and scholarships.

The Brazos Breeze Flute Choir will perform its first concert of the season on Sunday, October 30th. The concert will take place at First United Methodist Church in Bryan. The church is located at 506 E. 28th Street in Downtown Bryan.
The flute choir will be performing a mixed concert that celebrates its return to live music. Works to be performed include many of your Halloween favorites such as Saint-Saens’s Danse Macabre, Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain. Other works include Juba by Valerie Coleman, and two original compositions.
Admission to the concert is free but donations are greatly appreciated.

Jorge Pardo will be performing an evening of Flamenco Jazz in the Grand Hall of the Rice University student center. This event is free and open to the public.
Jorge Pardo is an award winning composer / flutist that has performed along side famous guitarist Paco de Lucia and American Jazz Legend Chick Corea. Pardo has released over 10 studio albums across his career!
